Spring is here and I’m definitely enjoying it. I can see it in the trees along the roadways with their bright, fresh green budding leaves. Regeneration. And now for a little regeneration of my own. But first, some elimination.
I am finishing up a 48 hour juice fast, and it went a little something like this:
I took a shot of Acai berry juice and Aloe Vera juice every 6 hours or so. As a treat I had some coconut juice after the 24 hour mark, and then I had some lightly sweetened green tea. Also, I had a black/green tea with a shot of espresso during the first 24 hours before doing my vocal workout. No solid food. Lots of good bottled water and deep breathing.
Fasting has so many benefits, so here’s a few interesting ones to jump-start your interest:

For my next juice fast, I’m thinking about adding a 3 to 6 mile run and extending the fast to 72 hours. I dig it. It’s exciting to realize what the human body is capable of.
